Sadness...

I never met Farrah Fawcett. However, she was the only actress to ever adorn the inside of my locker at FFD.

Scott Lindgren and Bob Fradenburg had a field day with me one shift, as Farrah was coming to town. They were trying to get in to see her and have pictures taken with her- all the while me stuck out at Station 2 (now 39).

The only other actress of note in my career was Bo Derek. I didn't much like her, she was ok, and I never met her either.

However, one morning I sprinted to the engine in my chones to get my gear off, as the new shift was going out on a call.

I was still there when they returned, and Bobby Silva informed me that I had looked like Bo Derek running in slow motion across the sand in the movie "10".

Farrah was beautiful, rich, not a bad actress at all, and like so many, it seemed like she could not ever catch a break from the media or the tabloids. Farrah Fawcett, dead today at the age of 62.
