C'mon, guys...

x
From high in the Sierras, at the Lair of the Golden Bear...

All amendments submitted by the Republicans to the Health Care plan MUST be stripped. Period. No discussion.

Look, something like 160 amendments or adjustments were submitted to the Plan by them- and none of them are going to vote for it.

So, what happens when the Plan is implemented? If it works out well, Republicans win by taking credit for the changes they insisted on. If it goes less than expected, the Republicans win by taking credit for having voted against it.

The Demorcrats, and the Independents, Bernie Sanders & Joe Liebermann, MUST roll the dice, and stand up for their convictions.

Pass a good/great Democratic-authored plan, make adjustments as we go, and take the credit. If it turns south, as is unlikely, then we take our lumps.

However, we should never hand the Republicans a win-win scenario. They don't get to add minority changes unless they are providing minority votes.

And, yes, I understand that some of the Blue Dogs will have amendments that mirror those of moderate and liberal Republicans. Fine- but make sure the Blue Dogs are the authors of record.

Go Bears!
