The Sarah Palin "Name That Show" Contest

(Send submissions to thedailyrhubarb@wavecable.com
All decisions of the judges are final.)
***********
We have heard that Sarah's Posse apparently are shopping her around for a 3-hour Radio Talk Show.

We here at the daily rhubarb would like to be the first to jump on that bandwagon, to really help Sarah to find a new career- in fact, we believe that there are few things that would help keep America on track better than to have Sarah on the air for three hours a day, five days a week, with, of course, the "Best of Sarah" filling the slot on weekends and holidays.

Consequently, we are sponsoring a contest to find out what real Americans think would make a good name for the show, and what would be an appropriate theme song for the aspiring Mistress of the Mic.

Now, give it your best shot, but please no more than a total combination of three entries per person. We will have categories for both satire and sincere, and we are optimistic that we will be able to categorize each submissions correctly- or at least as intended.

There will be first-place prizes, likely podcast subscriptions for Sarah's show- or another radio talk show host of your choice. (Sorry, no Rush Limbaugh podcasts- the daily rhubarb is, after all, about t-r-u-t-h.)

Anyone from around the world can apply. You need not be a naturalized American citizen, and you can even be from Texas- which all of us here hope will eventually be traded back to Mexico for a state to be named later.

You do not need to submit your birth certificate. We just need your nominations, and we would like to know where you are residing- generally or specifically, at your comfort level and choice, of course.

The deadline for submissions is 1700 hours PDT on August 10th, which is the 233rd anniversary of the day that word reached London about the Declaration of Independence by we Americans.
